Aims and Scope
In the quarterly Eksploatacja i Niezawodność – Maintenance and Reliability there are published articles containing original results of experimental research on dependability, availability, reliability, durability, efficiency, risk and safety of technical items and complex systems.
The journal enforces a strict validation policy. While innovative modelling, numerical simulations, and theoretical approaches are welcome, they must be rigorously verified and validated using experimental testing, real physical objects, test rigs representative of industrial conditions, or field data.
Purely theoretical or simulation only works without such empirical validation are not considered for publication and fall outside the journal’s scope. Manuscripts presenting models, simulations or computational analyses without verification on real objects or industrial data will not be sent for review.
All analyses must be supported by a real, physical interpretation of causes or outcomes. In the journal there are published high quality articles on innovative modelling, novel approaches and enhanced research methods from the above mentioned technical fields.
The following research areas are mainly relevant to the journal:

  1. Physics of Failure and Degradation ModellingKeywords: physics of failure, fatigue, corrosion, fracture, creep, ageing, degradation modelling, accelerated testing, durability, remaining life, constitutive and numerical modelling
