Optimization of preventive maintenance and information system

The paper presents a method for determining the optimal interval for preventive maintenance/replacement using either an age related or a diagnostic related renewal strategy. Additionally, the authors rise the question: "How does preventive maintenance influence the probability of failure and the mean life-time of preventively maintained elements of a technical system?" They answer the question using analytical and simulation computing approaches to arrive at the solution. The results are in quantitative form. giving relationships between preventive maintenance intervals and survival probability functions and mean life-time characteristics. Examples demonstrate suitability of the method for typical engineering components with Weibull life distributions. Applications offer substantial benefits to both the manufacturer and the user of technical equipment.

Do symulacji wartości ugięcia toczonego elementu wykorzystano metodę elementów skończonych MES. Wyniki zamieszczono w postaci rysunków, tabel i wykresów.

Analyzing the machining technology of the bolt for improvement dimensional accuracy of the finished product

In the article are presented optimization process of cutting technology flexible element type shaft. As criteria of the optimization are accepted the dimension- accuracy finished product and the main cut time. To the simulation of the value of deflection turned element are used The Finite Elements Method (FEM). Results of conducted research were showed with the aid of diagrams, tables and some illustrations.

On the Fair Share of the Reliability of an Entity between its Components

The problem of the reliability of an entity sharing between their components in order to maximize its lifetime is considered. Some algorithms generating solutions to the problem is presented along with numerical examples for the problem.

Optimization of operational properties of steel welded structures

Safety and exploitation conditions of steel welded structure depend on many factors. The main role of that conditions is connected with materials, welding technology, state of stress and temperature. Because of that very important is good selection of steel and welding method for proper steel structure. For responsible steel structure are used low carbon and low alloy steel, very often with small amount of carbon and the amount of alloy elements such as Ni, Mn, Mo, Cr and V in low alloy steel and their welds. In the terms of the kind of steel it is used a proper welding method and adequate filler materials. In the present paper it was tested and optimized the chemical composition of metal weld deposit on the operational properties of steel welded structures.

Optymalizacja przerw konserwacyjnych

W niniejszej pracy zaproponowano metodologię optymalizacji planowych prac konserwacyjnych opartą na wykorzystaniu danych pozyskanych z systemu informacji eksploatacyjnej - dopasowaniu struktury bazy danych, sposobu jej gromadzenia i przetwarzania.

Optimization of preventive maintenance intervals

In the paper, the methodology of optimization of planned preventive maintenance is proposed, which is based on the utilization of data obtained from a maintenance information system - adjusting the database structure, collection and processing of data. The data processing algorithm is based on the application of theory of replacement and its modifi cation for the given problem. The core principle of the algorithm is the minimization of costs of maintenance and operation of production equipment. The algorithm can be either used as a separate tool or integrated into the computer maintenance management system as a complementary module. Therefore it enables to optimize the intervals of various levels of planned preventive maintenance of most of the production equipment in a company. A practical example of application of such algorithm is presented in the end of the paper.
