Wybrane problemy zasilania silników Diesla nisko przetworzonym olejem rzepakowym

Przedstawiono własności nisko przetworzonego (tzw. surowego) oleju rzepakowego pod kątem stosowania do napędu silników spalinowych. Opracowano koncepcję układu dwupaliwowego dzięki, któremu możliwa jest prawidłowa praca silnika zasilanego olejem rzepakowym. Zaprezentowano dotychczasowe wyniki badań trakcyjnych i laboratoryjnych. Wskazano na problemy techniczne i prawne stosowania oleju rzepakowego do napędu pojazdów.

The selected problems of feeding Diesel engines with low-processed rape oil

The properties of low-processed (the so called 'raw') rape oil in view of its use for combustion engines feeding were presented. A concept of a bi-fuel system was worked out enabling the correct working of an engine fed with rape oil. The results obtained so far in traction and laboratory tests were presented. The technical and legal issues connected with rape oil use for vehicle driving were pointed out.

Ekonomiczne i ekologiczne aspekty zasilania autobusów miejskich gazem CNG na przykładzie Rzeszowa

Przedstawiono własności gazu CNG w aspekcie wykorzystania go do napędu autobusów miejskich. Zaprezentowano spektakularne parametry proekologiczne autobusów zasilanych gazem CNG w odniesieniu do pojazdów zasilanych olejem napędowym. Wykazano ekologiczną i ekonomiczną celowość stosowania gazu CNG do napędu autobusów miejskich.

The economic and ecological aspects of driving city buses with CNG gas on an example of Rzeszów

The CNG gas properties were presented in view of its application for driving city buses. An economical analysis was carried out of an adaptation of a bus with a ZS engine for feeding with CNG gas as well as an economic analysis of a purchase of a bus originally constructed for gas feeding. Exploitation costs were considered concerning both the fuel costs and allowance for depreciation of the capital assets. Spectacular pro-ecological parameters were presented for the buses fed with CNG gas compared to the vehicles fed with engine oil. The ecological and economic efficiency of using CNG gas for driving city buses was proved.

Durability of engine components due to alternative fuels

Shortage of crude oil gives the reason to look for alternative engine fuels. Some of them are well known like: gas-fuels - LPG, CNG, LNG, bio-fuels - RME, B10, B20 etc. or very future like hydrogen. There are many problems to solve being sure that they are actual alternative fuels - engine effi ciency, ecology, emission. Among of them, the durability of engine due to different fuel is the crucial point of many research discussion. The paper includes info about: durability of technical object, combustion engine as a technical system, engine fuels and their features and example of engine wear performance due to rape methyl ester fuel, natural gas fuel experience, hydrogen thermodynamic effect and small case of prediction of life time.
